Battle Creek Sanitary Sewer Inspection Starts Tuesday

Routine inspection and cleaning of the city’s sanitary sewer system will begin Tuesday  and continue through Monday, July 15, on Bedford Road between  West Jackson Street. and Morgan Avenue..

City contractor Taplin Group, LLC, will perform the work as part of the city’s routine televising and cleaning plan. “Televising” is inspecting the sanitary sewer lines using cameras. Cleaning takes place as needed.

The work will take place on Bedford Rd. between Jackson St. W. and Morgan Ave.  Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The work is scheduled to be complete by Monday, July 15, at 7 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be some necessary lane closures during this work.  There will be flaggers directing traffic during these closures.

All work will take place in public rights of way, and in sanitary sewer easements. Disruption to neighbors will be minimal, and streets will remain open to traffic.
