The idea of driving on Bristol Rd in Burton is gone till November, as the bridge over Thread Creek undergoes repair.

The project is going to cost around $800,000 and isn't expected to be finished until November.  Although the construction area is not very big, it happens on a very busy stretch of road.

Drivers can either go south to Maple or north to Hemphill to avoid the construction.

Bristol Rd in general is one of the biggest pains in the ass in Genesee County.  I'm not sure that any road in our area has the combination of potholes, speed traps, and poorly timed traffic lights.  Maybe the 75 yard stretch of Bristol that is being fixed will inspire the county to think about repairing the rest of the road.
