Childish Gambino's "This Is America" video has some competition in the creativity department, and that new challenger comes from Gambino himself. On Saturday night (Sept. 1), the creative dynamo unloaded an inventive new video for "Feels Like Summer," and in it, we can see animated versions of plenty of rap stars. Most notably, Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott.

In the new video, which was directed by Gambino, Ivan Dixon and Greg Sharp, we see an animated Gambino take a summer stroll down the block as myriad hip-hop artists soak up the sun. In some clips we see Migos playing some pickup basketball. In others, we spot Drake chasing Future as the Atlanta rhymer speeds off on a bike. It all looks pretty dope, and for that, we have to thank Justin Richburg, who acted as the video's character designer.

Just a little over a minute and a half into the new video, we spot Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott playing with some building blocks. Although they appear to be having a good time, Nicki gets a bit upset when Scott pulls out a block that leads to the collapse of their faux building.

If you've been keeping track of the hip-hop news cycle, you already know Nicki has had some problems with Scott as of late. A couple weeks back, Nicki "awarded" Scott the "Hoe Nigga of the Week" trophy on her Queen Radio show after bashing the Houston rapper's Astroworld album promotional tactics. Scott hasn't said anything publicly about Nicki's words, but it's not hard to imagine him being upset with what she had to say.

Getting back to the "Feels Like Summer" video, it's a colorful piece that definitely evokes images of summer time fun, even as it includes a somber, animated Kanye West crying in his Make America Great Again hat as former first lady Michelle Obama hugs him. What's it mean? We'll leave that up to you to decide. We'll be hearing about this visual for a long time.
