Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper have been collaborating since they first teamed up in 2013 for "The Worst Guys," so it should come as no surprise that Gambino was on hand on Monday (June 11) for Chano's Open Mike event for high school students in Chicago.

Hosted by Chance and Malcolm London at the Harold Washington Library Center, Chano surprised the youth in attendance when he brought out Gambino to perform his hit song, "This Is America." Before the rapper came on stage, Chance told the crowd, "My next guest needs no introduction."

It's been a while since Chance The Rapper has released any new music, but the artist has remained busy with his charitable efforts. In April, Chano used his birthday as a way to raise money for charity. The rapper hosted an event on April 21, where all proceeds from night went to his Social Works program. Tickets for the event began at $125 and reached $10,000.

In related news, the Coloring Book rapper is also getting in to the movie world, signing on to join the cast of Trolls 2. According to a May report, Chance signed on to voice a character in the upcoming animated film, as well as record music for the movie's soundtrack.

As for Gambino, the rapper will be making his way back to the small screen for a third season of Atlanta. The series was recently renewed for another season by FX, although a premier date has yet to be revealed.
