The Powerade campaign featuring Flint's own, Claressa Shields helps kids see that they can go anywhere, even if they are 'Just A Kid From Flint.'

I've always thought that Claressa Shields should be getting more shine than she does, and now it looks like she's starting to get her due.

In a new campaign for Powerade, the gold medal winner is featured as a little girl, who transforms into an Olympic Champion.  The commercial says,

If the boxing gym is no place for a girl, then what does a girl's place look like?

Shields continues to be an inspiration for girls everywhere, as well as being a phenomenal representative of Flint.

She recently qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, and you can watch her qualifying fight below.
