Flint's Claressa Shields will headline in Detroit as she takes on undefeated WBC super middleweight champ Nikki Alder at the MGM Grand on August 4th.

Claressa Shields is once again making history, this time headlining in Detroit as she defends her title against undefeated super middleweight champion Nikki Alder. Shields who is 3-0 with 1 KO in her professional career is the only American boxer to win back-to-back gold medals in the Olympic Games. Only four fights in to her professional career, she will take on Nikki Alder who is 16-0 with 9 knockouts on her record.

This isn't the first time Shields has had a headlining spot, in March she became the first woman to headline on premium television. Now she will once again headline in Detroit on August 4th at the MGM Grand. This will be Alder's first U.S. debut.
