A woman urged a local Facebook group to help her prevent a hydroponic gardening shop from moving into town in fear that it would "bring drugs" into the community. As hilarious as that is, it's not even the best part.

So this lady, whose identity we have concealed just because I'd feel bad if I didn't, thinks she needs to stop these guys from bringing "their drugs to our city." There are a handful of issues with that before we get to the biggest one (we'll get to that in a minute), including:

  1. Hydroponic gardening places don't actually sell drugs.
  2. Let's assume she just doesn't know her terminology and is actually talking about a dispensary. You have to have a medical card to buy marijuana from one. They don't send recruits riding bikes through nearby neighborhoods to hand out samples to kids.
  3. Not many people even consider Marijuana a drug anymore. As far as drugs go, it's about as harmless as they come. There are more dangerous drugs available over-the-counter at Rite Aid right now. Hell, alcohol is much worse for you and that's sold on just about every corner in Genesee County.

Now that we've addressed just a few of the misconceptions this well-meaning, yet severely misguided lady has about all things marijuana, let's talk about the biggest thing she missed -- THERE'S ALREADY A F***ING HYDROPONIC GARDENING PLACE IN THAT SAME PARKING LOT AND IT'S BEEN THERE FOR YEARS! See for yourself below.
