They just opened on June 27th but the pandemic has hit hard, and customers responded.

We'redough, a locally-owned bakery that features edible cookie dough and other homemade confections, has announced on their social media that they will probably have to close their doors by the end of this month. They’re located at 5349 Fenton Road.

The Facebook post says:

So this is difficult. We had large losses last month due to reduced customers coming in. And so far this first week of October has shown it will be much, much worse this month.
We have tried, countless ideas, promotions, posts. But we have no more personal funds to sink into We'reDough.
We begged, and borrowed, and put just about everything we had into this bakery. And the Kickstarter has been canceled because of our imminent closure, and even those funds would not have saved us.
We love our customers but it is very likely that We'reDough will close by the end of October. We are still figuring things out but we will keep you updated as we go. This is extremely painful to announce. We love you all.
Help us go out with a bang though and stock up on your cookie dough.
And yes, we have already tried getting a booth at the Flint Farmer's market and at the Davison Farmer's market. Flint wouldn't contact us back and Davison has too many bakery booths.
Also gift cards need to be redeemed as soon as possible to reduce the amount of refunds we will need to make.
Edit: It is possible for the bakery to survive but we are going to need a lot of help and a lot of people coming in every day.

After the announcement, people showed up in droves to support the struggling business. The line was out the door and they sold out of product by 5 PM.
