The Detroit Lions are celebrating their 100th anniversary in the NFL with a 'Fantennial' party Saturday evening, and sporting the throwback jerseys on Sunday.

There will be plenty for fans to do this weekend in Detroit as the Lions celebrate their 100th anniversary. The party starts on Saturday with the Fantennial Celebration in front of Ford Field. The party starts at 1pm on Brush Street, and is free to the public. There will be players and cheerleaders taking pictures, and signing autographs.

On Sunday the Lions will be rocking their throwback jerseys against the Chiefs. Normally the throwbacks are reserved for Thanksgiving day, but the change might be good. The Lions are 0-2 while wearing the jerseys, so maybe a change will do some good.

The game will also feature the presentation of the Detroit Lions 'All Time Team.' The team will feature the best Lions players of all time, as voted on by fans.

There will be a lot of fanfare on Sunday, but all Lions fans really want is a win over an elite NFL team. The Chiefs are definitely Superbowl contenders, and a win for the Lions would be a huge step forward.

The game kicks off at 1pm and you can watch it on FOX.
