FBI Hunting Genesee County Doctor With Ties To ISIS
Federal agents are looking for Flushing native, Mohamed Maleeh Masha, after search warrants revealed that he may have ties to the Islamic State.
Masha is 24, and recently graduated from medical school. He is a Flushing native, but terror investigators now suspect that he is operating out of Syria. Masha grew up in Genesee County, but went to high school in Colorado.
The investigation revolves around whether or not Masha was actively working to recruit for ISIS right here in Flint.
The investigation into Masha dates back to the middle of last year according to the Detroit News.
Masha's family still lives in our area, and has been cooperative with the ongoing investigation according to reports.
It is believed that Masha fled for Syria suddenly in 2015, and the actual odds of finding him are very slim.
