An early morning fire has left a popular restaurant and bar closed.

Multiple departments were called at 3:00am Wednesday to a fire at Foutch's Pub located on Linden Rd. According to Mid-Michigan NOW, the fire appears to have started in the ceiling, but the investigation is still ongoing. Thankfully there were no injuries.

Foutch's Pub, which opened 11 years ago, manager Lisa Montana spoke with  MLive-The Flint Journal and noted the pub suffered  extensive damage from the fire throughout the inside of the pub. She also stated that SERVPRO indicated it could be as long as 9 months to even a year before Foutch's can be back to business as usual.

Other businesses near Foutch's Pub weren't heavily damaged, but did suffer some smoke and water damage. Those include Strike Zone Baseball and Vehicle City CrossFit. Vehicle City Crossfit posted to their Facebook page that they would be closed for a few weeks for clean-up.

Montana commented that the fire was shock to the Foutch's Pub family and their devoted customers, but she's confident they will be back.

“We feel like we’re grieving right now, that’s for sure,” Montana told Mlive.“We’re definitely devastated."

Ironically, Foutch's Pub sprung from devastation of another eatery. It was in 2008, The Up North Lodge at the West Pointe Plaza caught fire and was destroyed. The Foutch family rallied, and as their website says, "Rising like a phoenix from its ashes, Foutch’s Pub opened in October 2009." They are sure to rise again.
