Flint's own pro boxer Anthony Dirrel finally gets his shot at the WBC Super Middleweight belt.  The current title holder is injured and deemed the champion but good news came by Anthony Dirrell.  The WBC ordered that Anthony Dirrell,  number one contender, to fight against Nikola Sjekloca, ranked third in the world.

The WBC Board of Governors officially approved the decision to place WBC super-middleweight titleholder Andre Ward as a "Champion in Recess" until he recovers from an alleged broken hand injury.

During Ward's break, the WBC also sanctioned the mandatory fight for his vacant belt.

Dirrell, the No. 1 contender, will have to face the third-ranked Nikola Sjekloca in for the WBC super-middleweight world championship.

Not a date or venue has been set for the upcoming bout but Dirrell's uncle and trainer Leon Lawson Jr. confirmed that everything is definitely in the works.
