Genesee County Hotels Holding Virtual Job Fair In April
10 Genesee County hotels are participating in a virtual job fair in April to hire staff ahead of their busy tourist season.
Obviously the tourism industry took a huge hit during the pandemic in 2020, but hotel owners are optimistic about the upcoming summer season. The hotels are partnering with the Flint & Genesee County Chamber to host the virtual hiring event on April 8th. The event is the first in a series of job fairs aimed at helping specific industries in Genesee County build back their workforce after the pandemic.
The hotel job fair happens virtually on April 8th from 10am to 2pm. You can get registered for the job fair here. Keep in mind that you must get registered by April 5th, and space for registrants is based on first come first serve. You can visit the virtual job fair Facebook event page here.

- Executive Housekeeping
- Shuttle Drivers
- Maintenance
- Front Desk
- Night Audit
- Housekeeping
- Laundry
- Banquets
- Restaurant (servers)
This isnt just a job fair though, the chamber is also putting together a series of workshops to help anyone looking for work to boost their resume. The events start on March 27th with additional sessions on the 29th, 30th and 31st. and you can get all of the details about those workshops here.
There are 10 different Genesee County hotels participating in the virtual event, and each has multiple positions to be filled.
