Closing the ramps at Holly Road and I-75 is causing some short term headaches, but will end up being a great fix in the long term.

That's what MDot is telling people that have to deal with the busy intersection on a daily basis.  The Holly Rd ramps already get extremely backed up, so the goal of the construction project is to let traffic move through the area better.

The project is going to run about $3 Million to expand the NB 75 ramp from Holly Rd.  Right now, the wait to turn left if you were coming from the hospital can be very long.

Reactions are mixed to the closure, but there is one thing that everyone can agree on . . . the fact that the ramp will be completely closed periodically until October will make everyone move a lot slower.
