Humane Society of Genesee Co. Giving Out Grief Packets for Kids

Losing a pet is hard for anybody, and the Humane Society is trying to make it easier on kids.

I'm still a big believer that we should be allowed bereavement days for when a pet dies but, until then, this will do.

Free greif packets are available at the Humane Society of Genesee County for kids ages 5-13 years old. It includes a children's book, journal, stuffed animal and other items that will help explain the loss of a pet and grief to your kids.

Financial support from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint helped to provide these to the public. If you're interested in one, stop by the Humane Society on Dort Highway during regular business hours.
