Flying can be extremely STRESSFUL. We're all running wild trying to make sure we get through security with all of our stuff and without missing our flight. So, what if there was one small personalization during your commute that could make your life easier?

The Next time you're at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport flying delta, make sure you check out the departure board, where with a simple swipe of your boarding pass, you could see a personalized travel itinerary.

It's no secret that Delta Airlines has been looking for ways to improve the customer experience, and that's why in 2022 they launched their Parallel Reality technology.

Instead of digging through your bag, hoping your phone has a signal, or worse, trying to memorize every detail of your itinerary and hope you have no delays, you can have your flight schedule spoon fed to you.

Parallel Reality technology that allows dozens of people to simultaneously see unique content on the same digital screen. Detroit is the first, and currently only, airport in the country to experiment with the futuristic technology developed by Misapplied Sciences, based in California.

How does the board work?

Delta passengers can scan their boarding pass, select a language and test out the system. Then you just use the touch screen controls to do everything from checking in for a flight to viewing your itinerary, as well as accessing customer service representatives and checking on your baggage.

My favorite feature? It gives you a neat arrow that points you in the direction of your gate, and gives you a current weather update for your destination. HOW COOL!

@carielizabethh this is the world’s first ever PARALLEL REALITY experience at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport - seriously so mind blowing! ✨one thing to note is you have to be flying Delta in order to experience this! ✨as simple as scanning your boarding pass and it displays all your flight information on the board for ease & more personal airport experience! ✨craziest part is nobody can see the information except for you - this is because of the overhead sensors detecting your location seriously such a cool experience - highly recommend if you’re at the Detroit airport and flying Delta to try this out!! #travel #traveltiktok #delta #deltaairlines #deltaparallelreality #parallelreality #deltaisthebest #deltaairline #detroitmetroairport #dtw #dtwairport #dtwairportmichigan #cooltravel #travelexperience #crazytravel #crazytraveller #travellife #travelbucketlist #traveling #airport #caritravels #deltaflight #deltaflights #cooltravellers #travelstory #travelexperiences #musttravelplaces ♬ original sound - cari

Where in the airport can I find this board?

The next time you fly out of the Detroit airport, you'll find the board in Concourse A, in the McNamara Terminal beyond airport security, hanging near the Delta Sky Club. So make sure you have your boarding pass ready to scan, and enjoy the view only you can see.

It's amazing we get to be the first in the country to try this technology out, so make sure you take advantage the next time you're flying out of DTW.
