If you ask people in Genesee County where to get the best pizza, be ready… because everyone has an opinion. And some people are very passionate about their pizza. Very passionate.

I threw the question out on Facebook: Which Genesee County pizza place will always be your favorite? The comments absolutely blew up. After going through hundreds of responses, a few names kept popping up over and over again.

Genesee County Has Strong Opinions About Pizza

A few names came up over and over again, but there definitely wasn’t total agreement. Depending on who you ask, the “best” pizza spot in Genesee County can change real quick.

Some longtime local favorites showed up a ton, the kind of places people have been going to for years. At the same time, a few newer spots and under-the-radar picks kept getting mentioned, too.

People were pretty passionate about their go-to place, too, and it definitely showed in the comments.

The Pizza Places People in Genesee County Still Talk About

What really stood out, though, was how many people brought up places that aren’t even around anymore. Some of them I had never even heard of before.

Sicily’s came up a ton, right there with some of the current spots. Same with Rizzo's, Grand Blanc Inn, and a few other places people still talk about as if they closed yesterday.

That pretty much tells you everything you need to know. Around here, pizza isn’t just food…it’s memories.
