Is Something New Going Into Former Lapeer Furniture Store in Flint?

It looks like something new is going into the former Lapeer Furniture and Mattress building on Miller Road in Flint.

Lapeer Furniture and Mattress Center permanently closed its doors in September of 2022. The 50,000-square-foot showroom has sat empty ever since. Well, it looks like that is about to change.

The other day I was driving down Miller Road and noticed workers repaving the parking lot of the former Lapeer Furniture store. I thought, there was no way they were paving the parking lot of a store that is no longer in business, so I did a little digging.

Is ABC Warehouse Moving Into the Lapeer Furniture Building?

After making a call to Flint Township, we got word that ABC Warehouse purchased the building. However, that was the only information that we were able to obtain.

It's total speculation, but we have to assume that ABC Warehouse (Miller Road) will eventually close its doors and move into the Lapeer Furniture building.

This would be a total game changer and a huge improvement for ABC Warehouse and its customers.

As soon as we get more information on exactly what is happening with the former Lapeer Furniture building, we'll pass it along to you.

According to Wikipedia, ABC Warehouse was founded in 1963 by Gordon Hartunian in Pontiac. Since then, ABC Warehouse has expanded its operations and opened multiple locations across the country.
