Another staple in Flint's Genesee Valley Center is getting ready to close its doors for good.
You can add this major clothing retailer to the list of countless businesses that shut down over the last year and the many more already planning to close their doors in the year ahead, leaving Genesee County with even fewer places to shop.
According to MLive, this popular retailer is closing not only its Flint location but also locations in the Grand Traverse Mall in Traverse City, the Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, and the Oakland Mall in Troy.

It's time to say goodbye to Macy's in the Genesee Valley Center in Flint.
Macy’s at the Genesee Valley Center originally opened its doors back in July 1970 as Hudson’s. It later became Marshall Field in 2001 before eventually being rebranded as Macy’s.
From what we've been told, Macy's at the Genesee Valley Center is kicking off its liquidation sale this Monday.
