Vernors Set to Celebrate 160 Years With Birthday Bash in Detroit

Vernors is turning 160 years old - proof that some things truly stand the test of time. To celebrate the big birthday, there will be a Vernors birthday celebration in Detroit honoring the iconic Michigan pop.

Consider this your formal invitation to the party.

When is the Vernors birthday bash in Detroit?

Expect food made with Vernors, Woody the Gnome, live music, games, activities for kids, and plenty of classic Vernors advertising displays to check out.

According to the Detroit Metro Times, there will be a special Vernors post at 3:30 PM, and Marrow in the Market restaurant will be serving a Vernors-themed brunch.

The party is free to attend. However, guests will be responsible for most food and beverage purchases.

Keith Wunderlich, a metro Detroit resident and the man behind the Vernors 160th birthday party, had this to say about the unique event.

The Vernor’s 160th Anniversary celebration gives us all a chance to relive a little bit of our childhood and, hopefully, show the next generation that some of the simple things in life are the best.
