Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that left one man dead on Wednesday morning (9/17).

Genesee County 911 Dispatch received calls around 7:45 a.m. reporting a man lying facedown in the grass along Ballenger Highway, between VanSlyke Road and the I‑69 overpass. First responders pronounced the man, later identified as Thomas Carrol‑Taylor of Flint, deceased at the scene.
Police say Carrol‑Taylor was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Investigators are actively searching for the driver and collecting evidence.
