According to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or MIOSHA, the laborer was part of a crew disassembling a front end loader so a pin could be reinstalled.

Two workers were positioned in the bucket of the loader when the machine was started. Investigators say the movement caused the arm and cab to rotate, pinning the victim.

First responders rushed the worker to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
