A Judge’s Advice After This Flint Murder Case? “Leave Town”
So imagine sitting in a Genesee County courtroom thinking you’re finally about to put one of the biggest Flint murder cases behind you, and the judge basically tells you:
Yeah, you should probably leave town.
That actually happened this week according to a report from MLive.
Why The Flint Judge Told the Witness to Leave Town
A man named Desean Davis, who became one of the key witnesses in the Messiah Williams murder case, was sentenced to time served after spending 576 days locked up.

The sentence wasn’t even the wildest part. The wildest part was the judge straight up telling him to move. Not lay low. Not be careful. Move.
The Long-Running Murder Case of Flint's 3-year-old Messiah Williams
If you remember this case, it goes all the way back to 2020 when 3-year-old Messiah Williams was killed after someone unloaded more than 40 rounds into a house on Oklahoma Avenue in Flint. Prosecutors said Messiah was never even the target, which somehow makes the whole thing even more brutal.

Davis had taken a plea deal years ago. He pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact and agreed to testify against the other men charged in the shooting. But then this case took another hard left turn recently when two of the three defendants, London Walton and Camron Burnett, were found not guilty.

Only Shamir Banks ended up convicted on murder and multiple other charges.
Now you’ve got emotions boiling on every side of this case, and the judge basically looked at Davis and said, 'You served your time, now get outta dodge.'
