Ja Rule has jumped up to defend himself after feeling like two new documentaries that dive into the debacle that was the failed Fyre Festival he was involved in in 2017 may have given the wrong impression to viewers.

On Friday (Jan. 18), Netflix released the Fyre doc, while Hulu has also exposed the seemingly shady venture through their documentary Fyre Fraud, put out on Jan. 14. Both cover the event that promised a posh concert experience on a Bahamian island, only to produce sub-standard housing, offer after-school daycare meals and cancel at the last minute, leaving people stranded. Ja, who was part of promoting the terrible event along with frontman, entrepreneur Billy McFarland, did not like what he sees and he has spoken up about it on social media.

On Sunday (Jan. 20), Ja hopped on Twitter to defend himself.

"I love how ppl watch a doc and think they have all the answers... ‍♂️," he tweeted.

He went on to say he would never defraud people adding, "I had an amazing vision to create a festival like NO OTHER!!! I would NEVER SCAM or FRAUD anyone what sense does that make???"

The Queens rapper followed up by asserting people still don't know the entire story.

The Fyre Festival failed miserably after being touted as a luxury concert experience. Inadequate planning and flat-out fraud were cited as reasons the festival did not produce. Billy McFarland, Ja and organizers were hit with multiple lawsuits from people who felt like they were purposely duped out of their money. Last October, McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison for defrauding investors and ordered to pay $26 million. Ja Rule has not been charged with any crime.
