Michigan State Police Hiring 150 New Recruits

The Michigan State Police are expanding their recruit force by 150 new people, and you could be one of them.

Recruit school is the first step in becoming a Michigan State Police Officer, and there are plenty of perks to joining. In an interview with ABC12, current officers talked about a few of the advantages.

We actually pay you while you go to our recruit school, benefits start on day one including sick and vacation time. All those things start the second you walk in our doors

There are a few requirements to apply, but they are not as strict as you may think.

• Must be 21 years old by the time of graduation
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a Michigan resident & US Citizen by the time of graduation with valid license
• No Felony convictions
