Michigan’s Real Life ‘Willy Wonka’s’ Treasure Quest
Chocolate bars and winning tickets! You've probably seen the movie about the eccentric Willy Wonka and his golden ticket giveaway, but now the tickets are silver, and it's a real life Wonka right here in Michigan.
Johnny’s Treasure Quest is underway and people across Michigan and the United States have the chance to win a chance of winning $100,000 in gold and silver. The contest is underway thanks to "Willy Wonka" otherwise known as Johnny Perri.
Having been in the jewelry business for 23 years, Perri was forced to close up shop due to COVID-19. Finding inspiration from Gene Wilder's character in the classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Perri knew exactly what to do with inventory of jewelry and coins.
Along with his fiancé started burying the treasures from his shop around the state, and the idea of Johnny’s Treasure Quest was born. After running 12 successful treasure hunts so far, Johnny's Treasure Quest is back, and this time chocolate is involved.
Now through March 31, 2021, "hunters" can purchase special chocolate bars in search of a lucky "Silver Ticket". Of the 400,000 special bars available, only 10 will contain a winning ticket. Each lucky ‘Silver Ticket’ winner will receive a 7-day 6 night, all-expense paid trip for two, to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan June 6-12, 2021, but that's just the beginning.
Each winner will receive one 10oz silver bar, and a chance to win the big grand prize during the treasure hunt. The lucky winner who finds the buried treasure will win $100,000 in gold and silver bullion.
Feeling lucky and ready to head out on an adventure? The limited edition chocolate bars can per purchased for $10 each. To order yours simply channel your inner Charlie Bucket and go to https://www.johnnystreasurequest.com.
