One of the things I've missed more than anything over the past 8 months is going to the movies. I love bowling too but I'm a big movie guy so I couldn't be happier today knowing that I can finally do both again.

Of course, like everything else, things will look a little different at movie theaters. If you're like me and frequent NCG theaters, you can expect some safety protocols in place. Capacity will be limited to 30% or 50% (check website for details) with socially distant seating in full effect. You will be required to wear masks in common areas such as the lobby, hallways, and restrooms. They may be removed when eating, drinking, or while seated (yes!) for your movie.

Here are some other safety protocols according to the NCG website:

  • High Contact TouchPoints will be disinfected throughout the day, this includes door handles, countertops, faucets, kiosks, railings, etc. Theaters will be disinfected in between every movie.
  • All employees will be wearing masks and gloves.
  • Seating arrangements will follow social distancing protocols. Groups must be at least 6-feet apart. If you come with your family, you may sit together, but respect others and maintain a healthy social distance (2 seat spaces).
  • NCG urges the use of credit cards for payment.

Bowling alleys, amusement parks and certain other entertainment venues - such as performance venues, arcades, bingo halls, climbing facilities and trampoline parks can also reopen today.
