Livingston County Police are asking for help finding Amanda Hayward, and her 7 year old daughter, Sapphire Palmer.

The two went missing after leaving their house in Hamburg Township at 3am.  There have been several suspicious clues found that suggest something may be very wrong.

Amanda's purse was found on the side of the road several miles away from her home with credit cards and cash still inside it.  Her daughter Sapphire never showed up for school the next day as well.

The last known vehicle they were driving was found by Ypsilanti Police yesterday with no one in it.

Their descriptions from the Hamburg Township Police are as follows.

Amanda has long strawberry blond hair and blue eyes. She is 5’7” tall and weighs 120 pounds.  Sapphire has long red hair and green eyes. She is about 4’ tall and weighs 55 pounds. She was last seen wearing a purple night gown.

UPDATE 5/12/16 at 10am

Hamburg Township Police report that they now believe 30-year-old Amanda Hayward and her 7-year old daughter Sapphire are traveling in a red 2001 Ford Escape with a Michigan License Plate “2HVA18” Authorities say they are both in the company of a 64-year old white male acquaintance.
