Raiders Rally Past Texans in Mexico, 27–20
Derek Carr threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, including the game-winner to Amari Cooper with under five minutes to play, and the Oakland Raiders rallied past the Houston Texans, 27-20, in Mexico City on Monday night.
Oakland (8-2) struggled for the first three quarters, but the Raiders rallied thanks to Carr and a defense that stiffened at the right times.
Down 20-13 to Houston (6-4) with time running out, Carr threw a 75-yard TD pass to fullback Jamize Olawale early in the final quarter. The Oakland defense then stopped the Texans on a fourth down that preceded the game-winning drive.
Carr finished 21 of 31 for 295 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
Lamar Miller ran for 104 yards and a score for Houston.
Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler threw for 243 yards and a touchdown. At one point, someone in the crowd aimed a green laser at his face as a distraction.
