‘South Park’ Spoofs Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble”
If you're a frequent South Park viewer, then you're familiar with their consistent spoofs surrounding pop culture, and hip-hop is never left out of the narrative. As the series has poked fun at Kanye West, Tupac, Diddy and more in the past, Kendrick Lamar gets the spoof treatment on the season 21 premiere of the series.
During the debut episode, out-of-work white people take the jobs of digital home assistants, similar to Alexa and Google Home, after a court order, which leads to Jim Bob becoming Cartman's home assistant. While inside of Cartman's home, Bob does an acoustic cover of K. Dot's "Humble" record. Viewers get to hear a country twist of the Compton rapper's infamous line, "My left stroke just went viral," which is nothing short of hilarious.
This isn't the first time that Lamar's "Humble" record has been turned into comedy in some way, as Shakamania X previously made a hilarious parody video of his original visuals, which had the Internet in a frenzy. The original music video also recently won the Best Hip-Hop Video at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards back in August.
