After rumors of his involvement made its rounds around the Internet, Travis Scott will join Maroon 5 in their performance at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show.

TMZ reports today (Dec. 20) that the "Yosemite" rapper is expected to perform with the pop band during their set at the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta. Scott, who's Astroworld album was nominated for a Grammy award, will also be bringing his baby momma Kylie Jenner with him to the big game. Along with Scott, Maroon 5 is also in the process of locking in other MC's like "Girls Like You" collaborator Cardi B and OutKast's Big Boi, who hails from the ATL.

Bardi is already scheduled to perform alongside Ludacris, Migos and more at the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Festival so booking her to perform at the final game of the season shouldn't be difficult as long as the check is right. Although Big Boi is in the mix, there's no word on Andre 3000's involvement with the show so another OutKast reunion doesn't seem likely.

When the NFL first announced Maroon 5 as the headlining halftime show performers, the hip-hop community was furious that the league didn't request Black artists to perform at the Super Bowl, which will go down in Atlanta. Waka Flocka Flame slammed the NFL for not even considering artists from the A.

"I think the Super Bowl, you should have somebody that's from Atlanta, representing Atlanta," Waka said. "They need somebody from Atlanta, it's only right. It's not fair, but this the NFL we talkin' about—they're not fair."

On the other hand, some rappers like RZA have defended the NFL's decision.

"The climate, I don't think should weigh on the music," RZA said of the League's choice. "The NFL has been going back and forth with great artists, you know. We had Beyonce, we had Bruno Mars, [Justin] Timberlake. I think [Maroon 5 front man] Adam Levine, and what he's been doing on his TV show, cross-pollinating talent, he's a pretty good example of a progressive artist's mind."

The 2019 Super Bowl will take place on Feb. 3 in Atlanta, GA.
