Video Shows A Raucous Crowd After The GR Fireworks [Video]

Rain didn't deter the large crowds from mixing it up following the fireworks display downtown Saturday night.

Video shot by a Spring Lake man showed a feisty crowd rolling down Monroe Street, and at one point they appear to stomp on a man who was grounded by the fighting going on.

Cory Sly posted scenes of the fighting to his Facebook page early Sunday.

Sly told our news partner, FOX 17, "All (of) the sudden I started hearing a lot of commotion, it was more of a violent commotion and ruckus like if something is about to stir up. The guy that was laying there was unconscious to my knowledge and before I knew what happened I was like 'we gotta get out of here.'"

Grand Rapids Police are investigating the incident.
