As the one-year anniversary of XXXTentacion's untimely passing approaches, his mother previews a new posthumous record that will tap into X's Caribbean roots.

On Wednesday (April 24), X's mom Cleopatra Bernard posted a teaser of a brand-new song from the slain rapper, and it features Stefflon Don, Vybz Kartel and Ky-Mani Marley. The brief clip only gives us a taste of the untitled song, which hits like a Grime-inspired, dancehall banger for the clubs. Although we don't get to hear verses from the two XXL Freshmen, we do get to hear Kartel go all the way over the island beat.

XXXTentacion's mother has pushed several posthumous records from her late son since his death on June 18, 2018. One of those records is "Scared of the Dark," which appears on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. In December 2018, she oversaw the release of X's Skins album.

This song teaser comes after XXXTentacion, born Jahseh Onfroy, racked up 10 nominations for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The Broward County native grabbed nods in categories like Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Streaming Songs Artist. Jahseh also received nominations in the Top R&B Male Artist field and Top R&B Album category for his album 17.
