On Sunday December 22nd, the downtown Flint skyline will be permanently changed. The Genesee Towers are scheduled to be imploded at 10am, and preparations have already started.

The roads around the Genesee Towers closed without warning yesterday, but the city did confirm that it is a preparatory move for the demolition of the Towers.
The months of Flint residents asking, "What the heck is that thing in the flat lot?" are finally coming to an end. The 'Floating House' is scheduled to come down this weekend.

Workers were seen installing Parking Meters in Downtown Flint yesterday along Saginaw St. I guess we've got away with 'free parking' for long enough and it's time to pay the piper. The system should be ready in the next 30 days, so make sure you have a roll of quarters with you.
