This will probably be more of "the new normal" for this particular Christmas season.

Creasey Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc has announced that they'll be doing a drive-thru Christmas lights display this holiday season.

This December, Bicentennial Park will be filled with thousands of lights, sweeping lighted arches, and animated displays. Jump in your car with friends or family and drive-thru our community winter wonderland.

Attendees can stay "warm and cozy" in their cars; hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by Grand Blanc Township.

Interested? It's running for two weekends right now in December - Friday the 11th, Saturday the 12th, Friday the 18th, and Saturday the 19th.

I'm not a betting man, but if I had to take a wild guess, I'd say that this is going to be what Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad is going to do for the year, too. They haven't canceled Halloween Ghosts & Goodies; instead, they've made it a drive-thru event. And since Christmas is such a big deal there, too, they'll likely do a drive-thru for Christmas lights.

We've always loved the drive-thru option. My mom couldn't walk towards the end and AJ's mom has been handicapped since she was a kid, so having a drive-thru option for these displays for people who can't walk is fantastic, in my humble opinion.

This is a new event for Grand Blanc Township. We love seeing how everybody is adapting to these crazy temporary circumstances. Great idea!
