Big Sean is teaming up with Rihanna to help Detroit and Flint fight the Coronavirus pandemic with more than $3 Million in aid.

The money comes together thanks to work from Big Sean's Sean Anderson Foundation, along with Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation. Jack Dorsey is also working with the group to help bring money and awareness to Flint and Detroit. The groups all made announcements on Twitter recently.

We all know how badly the money is needed in Flint and Detroit right now. Both cities have been hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic, and Flint is still working on recovering fully from the Flint Water Crisis.

According to a release from the Clara Lionel Foundation, the money will be distributed to local groups as a grant. Some of the groups slated to receive the grants here in Flint are listed below.

  • My Brothers Keeper of Gen Co
  • Shelter of Flint
  • Gen Co Youth Corp
  • Catholic Charities of Shiawasee and Genesee Co
  • Ennis Center for Children
  • Food Bank of Easter MI
  • Serenity House of Flint
  • Carriage Town Ministries
  • Flint Metro Comm Development
  • Community Foundation of Greater Flint

Big Sean is one of the many Detroit artists doing great work to help Michigan get through the Coronavirus pandemic. In March, Eminem launched his DJ competition to help Michigan DJ's who had no work due to the shut down.

Rihanna has been doing great work throughout the country during the Coronavirus pandemic. Her organization has donated millions of dollars to help cities, and researchers.

It's always so good to see super stars use their fame to help others. So many times a multi millionaire celebrity will say something like, "We're all in this together" knowing full well that their situation is nothing like ours. Instead of trying to pretend like we are all dealing with the same issues, celebs like Rihanna, Big Sean, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and countless others are choosing to use their fame to help. Thank you.
