The Burton Meijer store is getting a major face lift this year as Meijer is investing millions into remodeling their stores.

The overall project will sink about $400 Million into Meijer stores nationwide, with 12 of them being in Michigan.

The Burton Meijer store is definitely long overdue for some upgrades, considering this was the first Meijer supercenter built in Genesee County.  Some of the upgrades listed on Mlive include:

  • Wider aisles
  • New floor layout
  • Expanded food sections
  • More checkout, and self scan registers
  • Complete redesign of the pharmacy, including a drive through

Work on the Center Rd Meijer store is expected to begin this summer, and will definitely be welcome by customers.
