I've been wondering whether or not something new would end up in the old Lowe's store on Corunna Road in Flint Township. Now it looks like I have my answer.

According to WNEMNorthGate, a packaging and supply chain services company, has closed on the purchase of the former Lowe's store on Corunna Road in Flint Township.

The Company will repurpose the building as a supply chain services and custom packing facility and is expected to hire 30 to 75 people over the next six months. This is huge news for someone in Flint Township that is in desperate need of a job.

CEO and Owner Andy Goggins:

For the past year, we have been working on securing another location. Our goal the entire time has been to find a building within Genesee County and, ideally, in Flint. Our mission is to Bless People, Be Prosperous and Be the Best, and we are committed to doing that here in Flint. We are beyond excited for what the future holds for NorthGate, and to be bringing more jobs to the region.

According to the company's Facebook page, they offer solutions for manufacturers, distributors and third-party logistics providers moving goods into or out of the Great Lakes region of the U.S. and Canada. Their core services include packaging, distribution, inventory management and warehousing.

Now somebody just needs to move into the old Lowes building on Court Street in Burton.
