Crazy First Quarter Brawl Erupts During An Indiana High School Basketball Game [Video]

A high school basketball game in Indiana between Hammond and Griffith High ended after an ugly brawl broke out in the first quarter.

THE FIRST QUARTER!  They hadn't even really had time to get mad at each other yet!

The fight started when a Griffith guard was fouled hard in the back on a break away layup.  The benches cleared, and before referees could restore order, there were spectators on the floor.

The brawl got ugly as fans and players were fighting right on the court.  Eventually the police on the scene were able to restore order, but the game was called immediately.

The police are also looking at video of the fight to see if any adults should be charged for throwing punches during the fight.
