It couldn't have been scripted any better when Derek Jeter stepped up to the plate for his final at bat in Yankee Stadium, and Jeter definitely delivered.

The Captain stepped to the plate in the bottom of the 9th in a tie game, and hit a walk off single to win the game for the Yanks.

The hit typifies Jeter's amazing career.  He didn't belt it 430 feet into the crowd, he just stepped up and did what his team needed him to do to get the win.  That's all he did for his entire career, and that's why he's the Captain.

Jeter was surrounded by teammates, fans, and friends after the hit.  He eventually talked about the moment after the game.
