The Flint Registry has announced that the "Thank You" checks given to participants are doubling in value.

The checks are normally $25 for participants, but Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha announced that the checks would be for $50 during December and January. Dr. Mona is one of the driving forces behind the Flint Registry.

If you're not familiar with the Flint Registry, it is a program set up to connect Flint residents with resources to help recover from the Flint Water Crisis.

The program was announced about  a year ago, and has signed up about 2,500 people, with 10,000 more starting the process. The Flint Registry is hoping that the increased check amount will also help to boost enrollment numbers, but there are a few stipulations.

The increased “THANK YOU” checks are only valid for individuals who fully complete their Flint Registry enrollment between December 1, 2019, and January 31, 2020. The “THANK YOU” check increases from $25 to $50 for December through January 2020 only. The increased $50 THANK YOU check is not eligible for previous enrollees who completed their survey before December 1. Checks may take up to 8-12 weeks to arrive in the mail.

If you, or someone you know is dealing with the negative impact of the Flint Water Crisis, please check the Flint Registry out. It is full of important resources that will help you going forward.
