Flint Issues A Boil Water Advisory After A Big Water Main Break [Video]

A large part of Flint is under a boil water advisory after a major water main break in the city.

There were two water main breaks in Flint yesterday leading up to the boil water advisory.  The first on Dort Highway, and the second along Dupont in Flint.

The breaks cause a drop in water pressure, and allow contaminates to enter the water system.

The city is asking that people boil the water until further notice.  The city is also asking residents that are not already using a filter, to flush their water for 7 to 10 minutes before using.
