Brown water is not the norm for Flint drinking water, so when the drinking water started to change color, people started to speak up.

The discoloration might not be as big of a problem as people think though.

ABC12 is reporting that the city is doing hydrant flushing in the area to prepare for winter. It can cause water discoloration, but there is no cause for concern.

This means that the water issue probably has nothing to do with the major pipe repair that the city is doing right now.
