Since signing with Dr. Dre and Aftermath, Flints Jon Connor has been showing the rest of the world what Flint already knew.  'XXL' has started to pick up the trail by naming Connor to the 2014 Freshmen list.

Connor covers XXL's 2014 Freshmen class, labeled 'The Dirty Dozen.'  Jon is joined by rappers Isaiah Rashad, Lil Bibby, Jarren Benton, Kevin Gates, Lil Durk, Rich Homie Quan, Chance the Rapper, Troy Ave, Vic Mensa and R&B newcomers Ty Dolla $ign and August Alsina.

The Freshmen cover always comes with it's share of controversy, but the two main arguments are that most of these guy have been on the scene for a couple years, and the lack of a female MC.

There is no doubt that Jon Connor has earned his spot on the cover, but do you think there are any other artists that may have gotten snubbed?  Let us know in the comments below.

Fresh off of the cover spot, Jon Connor appeared on BET's 106 & Park yesterday to talk about the future, and his love for the rap game.
