Flint's Jon Connor took time out from his busy schedule to return home for the third annual Super Talent Show. Raise It Up! Youth Arts and Awareness hosted the event at U of M Flint Theater to a warm audience.

The talent show offered $1000 to the grand prize winner. A group of female actors called Drama Queens walked away with large sum of money.

Connor served as one of the judges. Who better to be able to evaluate talent, right? Connor recently signed a record deal with legendary Dr. Dre. ABC12 spoke with the Flint native after the show.

"It's important for me now that I'm in a position to give back to make my face be seen and let my voice be heard. To the young people going through those same things that I went through on the come-up. To let them know that what ever they're going through, whatever tragedy's or triumphs. They can turn that into whatever they want it to be. Never be afraid to dream big," said Connor.

I had the honor of hosting the event again this year. I have the most fun interacting with the audience and presenting the talented participants. I hope I get asked to host again next year. It was great seeing Jon Connor spend his time with everyone after the show to inspired them.
