Instead of complaining about the hours that their kids are wasting playing Fortnite, parents are paying tutors to teach their kids to become better Fortnite players.

Yes, this is real life.

The gaming world has become so big that it is busting down the wall into the real world. The picture of a typical video game recluse is definitely changing from this

To this

I won't lie, my son plays Fortnite. I catch myself sitting on the couch behind him sometimes yelling out direction as if I know what the hell I'm talking about.

The idea of hiring a coach or tutor shouldn't really surprise anyone. Don't believe me? I have two words for you TRAVEL SPORTS.

Now before you start telling me why sports is so much better than video games, just know that I agree with you. I would much rather see every kid with a bat, ball, glove, racket, or whatever in their hand over a video game controller.

I'm just pointing out that the ultra competitive helicopter parenting style that dominates the world right now is the blame. I've watched parents drop thousands of dollars on unnecessary sporting equipment. It is no shock to me that these same style parents would hire some video game recluse to teach their kid to be the best video game recluse on the block.

Sometimes it's OK to just play something because it's fun.
