Genesee County residents have another free option to get a Coronavirus test this weekend.

The pop up testing site will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Friday and Saturday. The church is located at G5443 Saginaw St in Flint. The testing hours are Friday from 9am to 1pm, and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The best part is that you do not need an appointment or doctors referral.

The Church listed more information about their pop up testing site on their Facebook page.

The testing site is part of a partnership with the Genesee County Health Department, The City of Flint, and The National Guard. This is part of the bigger project put together by the state to get as many people tested as possible.

If you would like to save some time getting tested, you can pre-register online here. Pre-registration is not required, and they will have forms that you can fill out on site. Registering online just eliminates one more step that you would otherwise have to do on site. If you are heading out to get tested Friday or Saturday, you are asked to enter the Church parking lot through the one-way entrance driveway off of North Saginaw Street.

The Genesee County Health Department also has a list of other free testing sites that are located throughout our area here.

The GCHD wants to make sure people are informed about the importance of testing, and if that test is positive, contact tracing. They have run into issues lately with people being concerned about privacy issues when contact tracing is concerned. They answered many of those concerns in the video below.
