Genesee County Has Had Its First COVID-19 Related Death
The infection rate with COVID-19 is still spreading rapidly throughout Michigan and unfortunately, Genesee County has officially had its first Coronavirus related death.
The numbers in Michigan have grown rapidly. So far we have 63 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Genesee County area and expect those numbers to continue to climb. You can keep track of the daily numbers by visiting Michigan.gov which updates the count by 2 pm every day.
Now, unfortunately, Genesee County now has reported it's first death related to the Coronavirus and I hope this is a wake-up call for the community. I'm still seeing a lot of people online partying and hanging out in groups with people and they're really not taking this pandemic seriously. My question is, what will? What number do you need to see before you start following the guidelines?
Can we please try for at least the next following weeks to distance ourselves from one another before this thing spiral's outta control.
