Little Joe's went on to say the employee last worked on July 3rd and was wearing a face mask throughout their entire shift that day. In their post they went on to say, "We have notified the Genesee Health Department and in doing so we give caution to our staff members to give them time to trace any interaction with this employee and our guests, whose trust means the world to us. We will keep you posted as we receive developments on how to proceed."

In the recent week, there have been a few restaurants that have reported staff testing positive with  COVID-19 leaving customers concerned about exposure. Legends Diner at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort reported 2 employees testing positive, as well as an Arby’s in Shiawassee County located on East M-21 in Caledonia Township reporting one as well.

Little Joe's has been a Grand Blanc favorite spot to gather since it opened back in 1935. Back then owner “Little Joe” Dewey had it located in the lobby of the Grand Hotel located at the corner of Grand Blanc Road and South Saginaw Street. The tavern moved to it's current location in September of 1936. The Abbott family purchased Little Joe's in 1993.

Little Joe's is advising customers to wait for more information and details to be shared on both their Facebook page and their website on how they will proceed.
