Grand Blanc Student Is Surprised By His Dad Returning From Afghanistan

Christopher Bratic is a student at Grand Blanc's Mason Elementary, and he thought Friday would be a normal end of the the year celebration, but he got a heartwarming surprise instead.

Christopher's dad, Staff Sgt Luis Bratic has been in Afghanistan for nearly a year, and told his son that he would be home sometime later this year.  During the year end celebration, Chris wore Army fatigues to honor his dad as he led his school in the Pledge Of Allegiance.

What Chris didn't know was that his dad, who he hadn't seen in 11 months, was waiting backstage for just the right moment to come out.  Judging by Chris' reaction, I think he picked just the right time!
